Here's what worked for other parents in Billund

Bring the stroller for
  • LEGOLAND Billund — every road and path is paved, with stroller rental at the entrance
  • LEGO House — lifts to all four floors and nine terraces, plus a nursing room off LEGO Square
  • LEGO Square — free, step-free and indoors, with a picnic area and the LEGO Store
Use a carrier for
  • LEGOLAND on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in summer — the park's busiest days
  • Getting there without a car — no train to Billund; buses from Vejle and the airport only
  • LEGO House in Danish school holidays — timed tickets sell out, so book ahead

Billund exists for families. Every path in LEGOLAND is paved, you can rent a stroller at the gate, and there's a Babycare Centre with a nursing area and a microwave for bottles. LEGO House has lifts to every floor and terrace and a calm nursing room, though big prams are only allowed into the play zones with the very youngest babies. The town is small and flat, with LEGO House in the centre and LEGOLAND and Lalandia a 10 to 20 minute walk away, so families mostly stay at the resort hotels and holiday villages and walk. Two catches: LEGOLAND closes for the winter apart from the Christmas weeks, and without a car you rely on buses, because there's no train.

In high season, LEGOLAND's busiest days are Tuesday and Wednesday, and Saturday is often quieter because it's changeover day for the holiday homes. On a wet day, swap in LEGO House or the Lalandia Aquadome.
